Meet the Physicians  

History
Mark Gostine, MD and Fred Davis, MD founded Michigan Pain Consultants, PC (MPC) in 1984 with a philosophy that chronic pain should be treated as other chronic medical conditions, utilizing the best methods of medicine and treating their patient as a whole, in managing their pain.

Over the past 20+ years, Michigan Pain Consultants has grown from a single hospital-based clinic to several office based Pain Management Centers. Thirteen physician pain specialists, and a team of specially trained clinical staff offer pain care that’s close to home all around the West Michigan area.

Michigan Pain Consultant's physicians are Board Certified in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and have trained specifically in Pain Management and/or Pain Medicine.

Dr. Gostine completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He attended medical school at Wayne State University College of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Gostine completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and also completed a Pain Management Fellowship at Kansas City Consortium in Missouri and is Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management.

Dr. Davis completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He attended medical school at Rush University’s College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his residency at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Davis is Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management.


Dr. Mankoff earned his Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University, East Lansing and attended medical school at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He also completed an internship at Spectrum Hospital’s East Campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He completed a residency in Anesthesiology at University of Florida and is Board certified in Anesthesiology.



Dr. Javery received his Bachelors Degree from Truman University and attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, Missouri. He completed an internship at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio and a residency in Anesthesia at the University of Kentucky, Louisville. Dr. Javery is Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management.

Dr. Pullum received her undergraduate education at the University of Delaware and her Osteopathic degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Pennsylvania. She completed her residency in Anesthesiology as well as a Pain Management Fellowship at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Pullum is Board Certified in Anesthesiology as well as Pain Management.

Dr. Winston received his undergraduate education from The College of William and Mary in Virginia and attended medical school at the University of Virginia Medical School, Charlottesville. He completed his residency in Anesthesia at the University of Iowa. Dr. Winston is Board Certified in Pain Medicine both by the American Board of Anesthesiology as well as the American Board of Pain Medicine.

Dr. Willard received his undergraduate education from Truman University and attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, Missouri. He completed his residency in Anesthesia as well as an internship at Grand Rapid’s Metropolitan Hospital, Michigan.



Dr. Vanden Bosch received his undergraduate degree from Albion College in Albion, Michigan and attended medical school at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Vanden Bosch also completed a Fellowship in Pain Management at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Vanden Bosch is Board Certified in both Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine by
                           the American Board of Anesthesiology.


Dr. Basch received his undergraduate degree from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, and attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Ohio. He completed an internship and residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with special emphasis on Acute and Chronic Pain Management. Following completion of his residency, Dr. Basch served as a clinical scientist at the University of
                           Cincinnati, researching neuropathic pain.

Dr. Fitzgerald received his undergraduate degree from Albion College in Albion, Michigan and attended medical school at Michigan State University, East Lansing. He completed an internship and residency in Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic, in Ohio. Dr. Fitzgerald also completed a Pain Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.


Dr. Growney completed his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University and attended medical school at the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his residency in Anesthesia at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He also completed an Interventional Pain Management Fellowship at Texas Tech University. Dr. Growney is Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain
                           Medicine. His interests include spinal cord stimulation,
                           percutaneous vertebroplasty, and the management of discogenic low back
                           pain.

Dr. Krencik received his undergraduate education at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and his Master of Medical Sciences degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Krencik attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed a residency and fellowship in Anesthesiology at the Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. Dr. Krencik is Board
                           Certified in Anesthesiology as well as Pain Management.

Dr. Flynn received her undergraduate degree in Science from Michigan State University (MSU), Lansing. After completing an overseas study in Spanish language and history in Denia, Spain, Dr. Flynn went on to attend MSU’s College of Human Medicine. Following medical school Dr. Flynn completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Interventional Pain Management Fellowship at the University of South Florida, Tampa. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is Board Eligible in Pain Management.

Dr. Vu received his undergraduate degree in Science from Michigan State University (MSU), Lansing. Dr. Vu went on to attend MSU’s College of Human Medicine and then completed his Residency in Anesthesiology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Tampa. After completion of Residency, Dr. Vu completed a Pain Fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine New York, New York. Dr. Vu is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is Board Eligible in Pain Management.


Dr. Lado received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University’s (MSU) James Madison College East Lansing, Michigan. Prior to medical school Dr. Lado participated in an Accelerated Science Program at Donnelly College in Kansas City, Missouri. He earned his medical degree from MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school Dr. Lado completed a transitional internship at St. John Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights, Michigan and went on to his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Lado is Board Certified by
                           the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Dr. Lado will be
                           utilizing conservative pain management techniques as well as
                           electrodiagnostic medicine and has great interest in the spine.
